Donna was born in Melbourne but grew up in Perth Western Australia with 3 brothers and 3 sisters near the beach in Doubleview. Donna received classical voice training for ten years from the age of 18 but is able to sing all styles including pop, soul and jazz. Donna moved to Japan in 1996 and became a full-time performer, writer and recording artist, releasing albums in 1999, 2001 and 2005 In 2004 she opened Dagmusic, an agency for voice talent and musicians, in Roppongi, Tokyo. Since 1999 she has been a regular announcer at NHK. In 2005 she became the Shinkansen announcer for the Tokaido Shinkansen. In 2010 her company Dagmusic built a studio for composing music for game and anime and recording voice actors and narrators. Donna joined the Tokyo Comedy Store in 2009 as a professional improvisor and has given Tedx talks on using Improviation in daily life. In 2015 Donna had a worldwide hit with Glassy Sky from the Tokyo Ghoul anime followed by Sins of the Father from Metal Gear Solid.
